Certifications
Pira selects the finest charcoals from hardwoods with high calorific value. They produce very little sparking and offer excellent performance (high-density, moisture-free charcoal). The large pieces ensure a more uniform and stable ember during use.
We offer 100% holm oak charcoal and 100% marabou charcoal. They are not mixed with each other or with other charcoals. Simply pure charcoal. The best charcoal for the best oven.
15 kg bags with very high calorific value, three times that of regular firewood. Holm oak charcoal is approximately between 30,000 and 33,000 kJ/kg. Marabou charcoal is approximately between 32,000 and 36,000 kJ/kg. (For reference, firewood has a calorific value of between 12,000 and 21,000 kJ/kg).
There are many charcoals out there, but they are not PIRA.
